The Winter Olympics

Welcome to the TAG Winter Olympics, an original and fun spin on the famous global event.

Rather than sporting ability, you are challenged to keep your giggles under control as you work together to complete seasonal activities.

Our unique take on the Winter Olympics pits teams against one another in a series of punchy winter-themed activities. A typical 2-hour event includes around 6 challenges plus “points boosters” thrown in for good measure!

You can choose from:

• Curling: our indoor curling rink is one of the most hotly contested events, as you try to ensure your “stones” end up closest to the jack…

• Tabletop Ice Hockey: (a.k.a. Air Hockey): rapid handovers between players after every goal ensures non-stop adrenaline!

• Shuffleboard: a Bavarian favourite, also known as Skoelbak, points are earned for flicking wooden counters into score-zones… but it is SO much harder than it looks!

• Santa Dash: teams need to dress one of their team as Santa Claus, the best taking the points… an optional grand finale sees all Santas racing!

• Winter Pong: table tennis with a wintery slant, as teams swap players after every 5 points to try and hit the ball over the ice wall…

• Table (snow)ball: ok, it’s table football, but the winners will be the ones who get the snowball into their opponent’s goal the most times, with players swapping after every point… ​

An extra degree of competition comes after every other event. Teams are asked to bet their points on the outcome of some more traditional Winter Olympic events which we show on our big screen. Trying to predict the outcomes of these downhill ski and speed skating races adds another element of risk, teamwork and hilarity.
