Have you ever dreamed of seeing yourself on the big screen or longed to be behind the camera directing the action?  Here’s your chance to find out by entering into the world of (Big) Budget Film Making, in this fun orientated ‘lockdown’ team building event. In Movie Magic each team will produce a short film.

The event will take place on Zoom, with team WhatApp groups to help with communication between team members and TAG Hosts.

Team Activity Group hosts will introduce the event to you, talking through the objectives   At the start of the event, participants are split into teams (usually c.4-5 guests in each). 

Each team will be advised which ‘manner’ the film should be played in, e.g. Comedy, Action, Romance, etc.  We will also ask each team to include certain characters, e.g. ‘Your film should include Arnold Schwarzenegger’ or ‘Woody Allen’ etc. In this way, some wonderful scenarios are invented, allowing teams the full vent of their imaginations, creativity and skill. 

The teams will then adjourn for a production meeting in  ‘Zoom Breakout rooms’ during which they will put together their ideas.  Think about who, what, where they have access to, are you in a one bedroom flat, do you have a garden or access to a country lane outside your house, do you have a family member who can assist with the filming,  have you a dressing up box with any props?  Teams will write their story-line and script, assign roles, cast the Actors and Actresses and plan the whole film.  - Social Distancing rules must apply at all times.

Your Team Activity Group hosts will be on hand on zoom and WhatsApp throughout to assist you with your production.

Ideal pre-event work for this could be for the group to investigate, e.g. the “History of Your Company” and that this will in turn form the bases of the teams’ films: it will, of course, be highly entertaining to see this subject played out as a Spaghetti Western or Romantic Comedy!….Alternative base for the films - ‘Life after Covid-19’

Filming will take place on your own devices.  One team member will take responsibility for acquiring all the films and sitting them together.  Or films can be organised and tabled clearly and sent to TAG Hosts to stitch together.  

Only after the production meeting do we ask you to start filming to encourage proper planning before films are actually shot. Teams will be given a set amount of time (usually 1-2 hours) to actually shoot their film, which should last no more than 5 minutes in length.  TAG Hosts will be on hand to help with any technical difficulties. 

At the end of the day, whilst you all relax, we'll be getting your films ready for public viewing! - we will ask you to rejoin us at a scheduled time, with a well earned drink, sat in the comfort of your home cinema, for the showing of the films.

This is a great team building event: your staff having a fantastic time, working together as a team, but from that Social Distance, - and enjoying themselves whilst doing so! Your staff will all know each other very well by the end of the activity, and each team will have recognised that the worthiness of “planning” and “communicating together" can be not only effective, but immensely satisfying as well.
