Calling all event venues: we’re looking for partners!

The event industry has had more false starts and failed comebacks than even the best project manager could cope with but, thankfully, enquiries are ramping up again and this time it feels real.

Here at Team Activity Group, though, the gradual emergence of spring bulbs is being matched by more and more activity in our office. We’re hearing from booking agents and clients keen to get their dates in the diary and so we’re talking regularly to our venues and always on the lookout for more.

For the planners among us, who have had to sit on their hands for far too long, the time is now! We want to hear from venues that have been reluctantly hidden away. As the world learns to live with Covid, bookings will only be on the increase now and this valuable business is there for the taking. 

The uptick in activity has certainly shown us that it’s now or never to start getting our diaries in order and reconnecting with our network. It’s a great chance for us to be first out of the starting blocks as we’ve been lucky enough to keep things ticking over during the quiet period and still have a talented team who are ready and willing to start work on the next big event. Are you the venue for us?

At Team Activity Group, we love to speak to proactive venues who share our love of hosting clients for the best experience that money can buy. And there’s no right or wrong type of venue because we work with anyone from town centre hotels who have amazing indoor spaces to huge country estates with outdoor grounds, accessible rivers or lakes and indoor spaces that are ideal for entertainment or activities.

Because we offer bespoke event planning, we are always able to use the space that is available to its best effect. For example, if you’re in the middle of a built-up area but want to bring in the corporate conference trade, we’ll design an event that uses the high street or local area. We’ve done scavenger hunts, film making workshops and many other events which put your venue at their heart and create a magical experience for everyone involved.

If there’s more space both indoors and out, we can go to town with our full range of offerings. From water-based activities, including our signature dragon racing, to all manner of country pursuits, we’ll make sure every event makes use of your unique surroundings and guarantees that customers return time after time.

How do we work with venues?

We partner with venues with a view to building a long-term business relationship.

We get to know your property and grounds and showcasing them as part of our website. Every venue we work with gets a feature page on our site showing your facilities and amazing spaces and showcasing the best ways we can use the space for events, activities and entertainment.

We offer a referral scheme whereby successful event bookings mean you receive a 10% introductory fee as a way of saying thank you for trusting us to run the experience.

Most importantly though, we have a wealth of experience which means we take the weight of planning, coordinating and running the whole event. We work as an extension of your team, staying in constant contact to provide updates and contribute to your own planning and scheduling as a busy, multi-purpose venue. Everything runs like clockwork, and we don’t even take up any desk space!

Who are we looking for?

Our venue hunt is focused mainly on the Thames Valley region, including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire but we also work in London regularly and would always be interested to hear from unique and exciting venues anywhere in the UK.
